Bulgarian Tarator

Cultural Context

Originating from Bulgaria, Tarator is a refreshing cold soup traditionally enjoyed during the hot summer months. It showcases the region's love for yogurt and fresh vegetables, often served as an appetizer or side dish. Today, variations of Tarator can be found across the Balkans, each with its unique twist, but the essence remains the same—a cooling, flavorful dish perfect for warm weather.
