Ground turkey is leaner, while ground chicken is often less expensive.

Start by making the pasta sauce.

Heat avocado oil or olive oil in a pan.

Add 1 whole onion and sweat it down.

Add garlic and cook on low heat to infuse flavor.

Add beef bouillon powder, tomato paste, and dry red wine to the pan.

Increase heat and let the wine reduce by half.

Add San Marzano tomatoes (or any budget-friendly tomato product) and let simmer for 30 to 45 minutes.

For the meatballs, mix together 1 lb ground beef and 1 lb ground pork.

Add borsen garlic and herb cheese and sour cream to the meat mixture.

Grate onions and fold them into the meat mixture.

Add 2 beaten eggs and enough Italian breadcrumbs to bind the mixture.

Form meatballs about 2.5 to 3 oz in size and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

Sear the meatballs in a skillet and then finish cooking them in the pasta sauce.

For garlic bread, mix 1 stick of melted butter with 1.5 tablespoons roasted garlic, 2 tablespoons diced parsley, and buttery garlic pepper seasoning.

Spread the mixture on French bread and bake at 400°F for about 12 minutes.

Plate the spaghetti and meatballs with a side of garlic bread.
