Start by adding 1/2 cup of water to a medium-sized saucepan.
Add 3/4 cup of white sugar and 4 tablespoons of cornstarch to the saucepan.
Add 1/8 teaspoon of salt and whisk the mixture together until smooth.
Turn the heat on to medium-high and continue whisking until it starts to steam.
Once it starts to steam, add 1 cup of fresh blueberries and stir until it thickens.
Add 1 tablespoon of butter and mix until melted.
Add 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and about 1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla, stirring to combine.
Add 2 cups of fresh blueberries, making it a generous amount, and stir in gently.
Roll out the pre-made flaky pie crust and place it in the bottom of a pie plate.
Cut strips of pie crust for a lattice top and chill the pastry if needed for easier handling.
Weave the strips over and under to create a lattice top, pinching the edges to seal.
Pour the blueberry filling into the pie shell and place the lattice top over it.
Bake the pie in the oven for 15-20 minutes, checking frequently until the crust is golden brown.
