Slice the onion, tomato, and lettuce. Pat dry the tomato slices.
Heat the grill pan for about three minutes.
Form the ground beef into patties, each weighing four ounces, and press down in the center to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
Melt about two tablespoons of butter in the heated grill pan.
Grill the patties for about 30 seconds on one side, then turn them over.
Cook the patties for around three minutes on the second side, then add cheese on top and cover to melt for about one minute.
Prepare the buns by spreading mayonnaise, then adding yellow mustard, ground black pepper, lettuce, onion, and tomato.
Assemble the hamburgers with the cooked patties and a pickle on the side.
