Mix warm milk and yeast in a bowl until foamy, about 5 minutes.
Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl.

Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Punch down the risen dough and shape it into a loaf.
Place the shaped loaf in a greased baking pan and let it rise again for 30 minutes.
Spread butter over the top of the loaf before baking.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
Remove from the oven and brush with more butter before cooling.
