Heat a pan on the gas and add 2 cups of milk.

Stir continuously until the milk thickens, which takes about 10 minutes.

Once thickened, cool the milk mixture in the fridge.

In another bowl, take 1 cup of heavy whipping cream and whip it until it reaches a soft peak consistency.

If you don't have an electric mixer, you can use a hand whisk, but do not use a grinder.

Mix the whipped cream with the cooled milk mixture for about 1 minute until combined.

If you prefer sweeter ice cream, you can add sugar while boiling the milk.

Divide the ice cream batter into two separate bowls.

In one bowl, add 2-3 drops of blue food color and mix well.

In the other bowl, add red or pink food color and mix well.

Layer the blue and pink mixtures in an airtight container, smoothing the top of each layer as you go.

Cover the container with plastic wrap and then close the lid.

Freeze for 8 hours or overnight until set.

Once set, remove from the freezer and serve the cotton candy ice cream.
