Cassava Punch

5 small pieces of boiled cassava (boiled in coconut milk)
1 cup coconut milk
1 cup milk of your choice
pinch of salt
pinch of nutmeg
pinch of cinnamon
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 date (optional)
Sweetened condensed milk, or sugar, or honey or maple syrup

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.

Add the grated cassava to the boiling water and cook for about 15-20 minutes until tender.

Once cooked, drain the cassava and let it cool slightly.

In a blender, combine the cooked cassava, coconut milk, sugar, vanilla extract, nutmeg, and cinnamon.

Blend until smooth and creamy, adding more water if necessary to reach desired consistency.

Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more sugar.

Chill the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour.

Serve over ice cubes in glasses.

Garnish with a sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon if desired.
