Put the pork roast in the slow cooker.

Season the pork roast on all sides with brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper, massaging it in.

Measure out 12 ounces of Dr. Pepper using a Pyrex mixing cup.

Pour the Dr. Pepper over the seasoned pork roast in the slow cooker.

Put the lid on the slow cooker and cook on low for 10 to 12 hours or high for 7 to 8 hours.

Once cooked, drain most of the liquid from the slow cooker.
