1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
4 strips cooked bacon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon paprika
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup bourbon
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup barbecue sauce

Place a 3-pound pork shoulder in the slow cooker.

In a small mixing bowl, combine 1 teaspoon onion powder, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/4 teaspoon cayenne, 1/2 teaspoon cumin, and 1 teaspoon paprika.

Add 1 cup of brown sugar to the bowl.

Pour in 1/2 cup of bourbon and 1/3 cup of apple cider vinegar, mixing well with a whisk until combined.

Add 1 cup of barbecue sauce to the mixture and blend carefully.
