Put 5 cups of flour into a mixing bowl.
Cut 2 tablespoons of baking powder and add it to the flour.
Add 1 tablespoon of ground matlabi to the dry ingredients.
Add 1/2 cup of sugar and mix all dry ingredients together.
Add 2 sticks of Lurpak butter to the bowl, cutting them for easier mixing.
Add 1/2 cup of milk and 3/4 cup of olive oil.
Crack 1 egg and add it to the mixture along with 1 egg white, saving the yolk for later.
Mix the ingredients well until combined.
Form the dough into a ball and cover with a towel, letting it rest for 5 hours.
After 5 hours, shape the dough into small cookies.
Brush the cookies with the saved egg yolk for color.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top of the cookies if desired.
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Bake the cookies for 10-12 minutes, checking for doneness based on size.
