1 jar marinara sauce
1/2 cup tomato puree
a few tablespoons of tomato paste
red wine vinegar

Soak lentils overnight in a jar with water to soften them.

Roughly chop 1 onion, 1 carrot, and 3 stalks of celery.

Add the chopped veggies to a food processor to finely chop them.

Heat olive oil in a pan.

Add the finely chopped veggies to the pan and cook until the onions are fragrant.

Rinse the soaked lentils and add them to the pot with the veggies.

Add marinara sauce, 1/2 cup of tomato puree, a few tablespoons of tomato paste, red wine vinegar, and black pepper to the pot.

Let the sauce simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.
