1 egg white

2 and 1/2 tablespoons liquor (brandy, rum, or vodka)
2 egg yolks
1 tablespoon water

Add 1 and 2/3 cups of brown sugar to a saucepan.

Add 2/3 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of water to the saucepan.

Add 1/2 cup of butter to the saucepan.

Heat on medium-high until the butter melts and the sugar dissolves.

Remove from heat just as it starts to boil.

Add 3 and 1/3 cups of flour, 1 tablespoon of gingerbread spice mix, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt to the saucepan.

Stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until combined.
