Remove the pork chops slightly before the apples are fully cooked to account for carryover cooking.
Let the pork chops rest for 10-15 minutes while the apples finish baking.
Mash the apples with a masher to create a rough applesauce texture.
Mix the mashed apples with the pan juices from the pork chops for added flavor.
