2 cups milk
1/2 cup brown sugar
5 tablespoons corn flour
small pinch of salt
few drops of food color
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 tablespoon raisins
1/2 tablespoon chopped nuts

Heat 2 cups of milk in a pan over medium flame.

Once the milk is hot, add 1/2 cup of brown sugar.

Lower the heat to low flame and add 5 tablespoons of corn flour, whisking until dissolved.

Stir continuously for 10 minutes on low flame.

Add a small pinch of salt and a few drops of food color, mixing well.

Once thickened and leaving the sides of the pan, add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract and cook for a couple more minutes before turning off the stove.

In a serving dish, sprinkle 1 tablespoon of raisins and 1/2 tablespoon of chopped nuts.

Pour the pudding into the dish and smooth the surface with a spoon.

Let it cool completely, optionally refrigerate for half an hour.

Once cooled, turn it onto a dish, using a knife if needed, and serve.
