Maple Glazed Ham

14 pound spiral cut ham
cooking spray
grade A very dark maple syrup
pure maple sugar

Get a cooking rack and spray it with cooking spray.

Remove the ham from its packaging and drain off the juices.

Place the ham on the cooking rack.

Preheat the smoker to 275°F using your favorite wood for flavor, preferably maple wood.

Place the ham on the center rack of the smoker and close the lid.

Smoke the ham at 275°F for about 2.5 hours.

Remove the ham from the smoker and place it on a cutting board.

Drizzle grade A very dark maple syrup over the top of the ham.

Use a brush to glaze the maple syrup over the outside and into the spiral cuts of the ham.

Sprinkle pure maple sugar over the top of the ham to create a crust.

If you don't have maple sugar, you can use raw sugar instead.

Return the ham to the smoker for an additional 30 minutes at 275°F.

After 30 minutes, check the ham for the glaze and sugar crust.

Let the ham rest for about 10-15 minutes before serving.
