Coconut oil is a healthier fat alternative.
Start by taking 1/4 cup warm milk in a bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon instant yeast and 1 tablespoon sugar to the warm milk.
Whisk the mixture well with a hand whisk and let it rest covered for 10 to 15 minutes until the yeast rises.
In another bowl, combine 2 cups flour, 1/2 cup powdered sugar, and 1 egg (at room temperature).
Add the yeast mixture to the flour mixture along with 1/2 cup warm milk and 3 tablespoons butter.
Mix the ingredients well using a hand whisk or an electric mixer for about 5-6 minutes until the dough is soft and well combined.
If mixing by hand, knead for at least 10 minutes until the dough is soft.
If the dough sticks to your hands, apply a little oil to prevent sticking.
Divide the dough into two parts and roll each part into a round shape, ensuring the thickness is at least 1/2 inch.
Cut out donut shapes using a glass or donut cutter, making sure they are uniform in size.
Place the cut donuts on butter paper and let them rest for 15-20 minutes to rise.
Heat oil in a pan on low to medium heat for frying the donuts.
Carefully fry the donuts for about 3-4 minutes on each side until they are golden brown.
Remove the donuts from the oil and let them cool.
For the ganache, melt 2 tablespoons chocolate with 2 tablespoons milk in the microwave for one minute.
Once the donuts are cool, apply the ganache on top and garnish with sprinkles and chocolate chips.
