How to make the best oatmeal cookies
Recipe Information
Oatmeal Cookies
Start with room temperature butter.
Add 1 cup of sugar to the butter.
Add brown sugar to the mixture.
Add about 2 teaspoons of vanilla (eyeball it).
Mix the sugar and butter together until combined.
Add in 2 eggs and mix again.
Add 1 teaspoon of baking soda and 1 teaspoon of baking powder.
Add 2 cups of flour and mix until combined.
Add 2 1/2 cups of oatmeal and mix in.
Add 1 1/2 cups of raisins (or more if desired).
Use a big ice cream scooper to scoop the dough onto a baking sheet.
Do not flatten the cookie dough before baking.
Refrigerate the cookie dough for at least an hour before baking to keep them moist.
