Boil the cabbage.

Cook for 20-30 minutes.
Melt the lard or butter in a pan.
Sauté the bacon until cooked.
Sauté the onions until golden brown.
Dust the sautéed mixture with all-purpose flour; mix well to dissolve the flour into the fat.
Cook for 2 minutes.
Mix the contents of the pan into the cabbage.
Boil together until it thickens, around 10 minutes.
Add sugar to taste.
Serve with Czech cuisine.
