Slice half a pound of Connecticut sausage and sauté in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned.
Drain the sausage and set aside.
Add 1.5 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil to the skillet and sauté chopped onions and bell peppers until softened.
Add garlic powder to the onions and peppers for extra flavor.
Add a pad of butter to the skillet and then add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning, sauté until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
Melt a stick of butter in a separate pan to make the cream sauce.
Pour in 1.5 cups of heavy whipping cream and stir.
Fold in shredded parmesan cheese to the cream sauce until combined.
Add the cooked pasta to the cream sauce and mix well.
Fold in the sautéed shrimp, sausage, and vegetables into the pasta and cream sauce mixture.
Season with additional Cajun seasoning before serving.
