Honey adds natural sweetness with a unique flavor.
Proof the yeast by mixing 2 tablespoons of sugar with lukewarm water and adding 1 packet of dry yeast. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes.
In a bowl, combine 3 cups of all-purpose flour and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
Add melted butter to the flour mixture and mix until combined.
Transfer the dough to a countertop and knead for about 8 minutes until smooth and soft.
Place the kneaded dough in an oiled bowl, cover it, and let it rise for 1.5 hours.
After rising, transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead lightly to remove air.
Cut the dough into 10 pieces and shape them into balls.
Roll out each piece and layer with a mixture of salted butter and cheddar cheese, folding and sealing the edges as you go.
Place the prepared dough in a greased pan and let it rest for another 30 minutes.
Mix 1 egg yolk with a drop of yellow food coloring and brush it over the dough.
Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F until done.
Brush with butter after baking and let cool.
