In a bowl, combine 1 and 1/4 cups of all-purpose flour.
Add 4 tablespoons of cubed butter to the flour and cut it in using a pastry cutter until you have pea-sized clumps.
Add 1/2 cup of grated Parmesan cheese to the flour and butter mixture and mix well.
Gradually add water, starting with 1/4 cup, mixing until the dough holds together.
If the dough is too dry, add an additional 2 tablespoons of water and mix again.
Once the dough holds together, work it with your hands to form a ball, incorporating any dry parts.
Place the dough directly onto a baking sheet and roll it out as thin as possible, aiming for about 1/16 inch thick.
Use a pizza cutter to cut the dough into approximately 1-inch strips.
Poke four holes in the center of each cracker with a fork to prevent puffing during baking.
Preheat the oven to 400°F (204°C).
Bake the crackers for 10 minutes, then check for browning.
Remove the thin crackers from the edges to prevent burning and return the rest to the oven for an additional 2 to 4 minutes until golden brown.
Let the crackers cool on the baking sheet before transferring them to an airtight container.
