Melt 300 grams of butter.

Combine 200 grams of sour cream, 2 glasses of milk, 1 tablespoon of yeast, and 3 egg yolks in a bowl.

Add flour until the mixture reaches dough consistency.

Divide the dough into 7 pieces for the middle layers and 2 large pieces for the top and bottom layers.

Grease the mejmai with melted butter.

For each layer, add 3 tablespoons of melted butter, except for the second layer which is just brushed with melted butter.

Place 1 layer of dough and add 2 saucers of coconut stuffing.

Add the last 2 pieces of dough, with the final layer only greased with oil.

Add a little orange and yellow food coloring to the top layer.

To prepare the syrup, add 3 cups of sugar and 3 cups of water to a pot and bring to a boil.

Squeeze the juice from half a lemon into the syrup mixture.
