1

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot over high heat.

2

Add 2 tablespoons of sugar and 1 teaspoon of salt to the boiling water and stir until dissolved.

3

Add 1/4 cup of vegetable oil to the boiling mixture.

4

In one fell swoop, add all-purpose flour and whole wheat flour to the pot and turn off the heat.

5

Stir the mixture until it forms a stiff dough ball, ensuring all flour is rehydrated.

6

Allow the dough to cool slightly but not to room temperature.

7

Fit a churro press or cookie gun with a star tip and fill it about 2/3 full with the dough.

8

Heat oil in a pot to 370°F (188°C).

9

Press the dough out into the hot oil, shaping it into a teardrop or desired shape as you go.

10

Fry the churros until they are a deep golden color, ensuring they are slightly creamy on the inside and crunchy on the outside.

11

Remove the churros from the oil and drain them on paper towels.

12

Mix cinnamon into organic sugar for coating the churros.

13

Roll the hot churros in the cinnamon sugar mixture before serving.
