Mix together the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, and bicarbonate of soda.

Cream together the butter and brown sugar until combined.

Add the remaining ingredients and mix until it forms a batter.

Spread half of the batter into the prepared baking dish.

Layer rhubarb jam over the batter evenly.

Top with the remaining batter.

Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
