Remove the core from each cabbage head.

Boil water in a large pot, add ½ tablespoon of salt and ¼ cup of red wine vinegar.

Put cabbage in the water stem side down and cook for about 5 minutes.

Flip the cabbage over and cook for another 5 minutes until leaves start to fall apart and turn slightly yellow.

Boil water, add 1 teaspoon of salt, and boil rice for 4 minutes, then rinse well.
