1

Dice 1/2 red bell pepper and 1/2 yellow onion finely.

2

Divide the diced onion into two piles, one for the Alfredo layer and one for the marinara flavor.

3

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil, 1/2 of the diced onion, and all of the red bell pepper. Cook until soft.

4

Add 1 lb of ground beef to the skillet and cook until fully browned. Drain the grease from the meat.

5

In a pot of boiling salted water, add about 1/3 of a box of thin spaghetti and cook until al dente.

6

Season the cooked ground beef with oregano, basil, onion powder, freshly cracked black pepper, and a dash of salt. Stir in a 24 oz jar of marinara sauce and bring to a simmer for 10-15 minutes.

7

In the same pot used for the pasta, melt 2 tbsp of butter and add the remaining diced onion. Cook until softened.

8

Add 4 tbsp of cream cheese to the pot and melt it down with the butter and onions.

9

Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute.

10

Add 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, a dash of pepper, a dash of salt, and 1/2 cup of heavy whipping cream. Stir until smooth and silky.

11

Add the drained spaghetti to the Alfredo sauce and toss to coat well.

12

Butter a 9x13 casserole dish with a stick of butter.

13

Spread the Alfredo spaghetti mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish.

14

Top with the meat sauce and spread it evenly over the spaghetti.

15

Sprinkle a handful of mozzarella cheese and a handful of Italian cheese on top, without covering completely.

16

Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.

17

Bake in a preheated 350°F oven for 15 minutes covered with foil, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes.

18

After 30 minutes total, remove the dish from the oven and let it set for about 10 minutes before serving.
