1 - 2 tsp salt
1 tsp Italian herbs
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
125 ml Sambal Oelek (1/2 cup)
40 g ground almonds (1/3 cup)
60 ml water (1/4 cup)
1 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp maple syrup

Rinse 70g red lentils thoroughly and soak them in enough water for 2 hours.

Chop 1 shallot and lightly roast it in olive oil.

Add 1 carrot (chopped) and 2 cloves of crushed garlic to the skillet and fry until fragrant.

Add 250g chickpeas to the mixture.

Mix in 2 tbsp chopped parsley, 1 tbsp psyllium husk, 2 tbsp breadcrumbs, 1 - 2 tsp salt, 1 tsp Italian herbs, and 1 teaspoon sweet paprika.

In a separate bowl, combine 125 ml Sambal Oelek, 40 g ground almonds, 60 ml water, 1 tsp lemon juice, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tbsp maple syrup.

Form the mixture into balls and place them on a baking sheet.

Bake at 220°C (428°F) for 15 minutes on top/bottom heat.
