Make sure the butter is as cold as possible, then add 8 tablespoons of cold butter to a food processor.
Add 1/2 teaspoon of salt and a pinch of cayenne pepper to the food processor.
Crack in 1 egg and add 1 cup of all-purpose flour.
Add about 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon of cheese to the mixture.
Process the mixture until combined, ensuring not to overmix.
Chop parsley into very tiny bits, then add it to the mixture for flavor.
Using a plastic wrapper, shape the dough into a sausage about 1 inch thick.
Refrigerate the sausage until it is solid and cold.
Once chilled, use a steak knife to cut the dough into small pieces.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
Place the crackers on a baking sheet without needing to leave space between them.
Bake for 15 minutes, then check for doneness; if not golden enough, add an additional 2-4 minutes as needed.
Once baked, transfer the crackers to a cooling rack to cool down until crispy.
