Wash plantain and dry with a kitchen tissue.

Chop off both ends.

Wash your hands again and dry.

Deep your hand in the oil bowl and grease the roasting tray.

Rub oil over each plantain and place in a roasting tray.

Turn oven on, gas Mark 6.

Place the tray in the oven and roast for 20 minutes.

Check if they have turned golden brown then turn the other side and roast for a further 15 to 20 minutes.

Check and take them out if golden brown.
