Start by making the teriyaki sauce: combine 1/2 cup reduced sodium soy sauce, 1/3 cup water, 3 tablespoons coconut sugar, 2 tablespoons white sugar, 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar, 1 teaspoon ginger paste, and 1 clove minced garlic in a bowl and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
In a separate bowl, mix 1 tablespoon cornstarch with 2 tablespoons warm water, then add this to the teriyaki sauce mixture.
Heat the teriyaki sauce in a skillet until it comes to a low boil and let it simmer.
In another skillet, brown the ground turkey with 2 cloves of minced garlic and 1 teaspoon onion powder until cooked through.
Add 1/2 cup finely chopped broccoli and shredded carrots to the skillet with the ground turkey.
Pour the teriyaki sauce into the skillet with the turkey and vegetables and stir well.
Let the mixture simmer in the skillet for 10 to 15 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Prepare rice according to package instructions to serve with the turkey mixture.
