Cultural Context

Cromer crab cakes originate from the coastal town of Cromer in Norfolk, England, renowned for its sweet and tender brown crabs. This dish showcases the local seafood, often enjoyed as a delicacy in seaside pubs and restaurants. Traditionally served with a tangy tartar sauce, they highlight the region's culinary heritage. Today, variations can be found across the UK, reflecting the growing appreciation for fresh, local ingredients in modern cooking.
