Ground turkey is lower in fat, while ground pork is often less expensive.
Heat oil in a skillet and sauté garlic cloves until fragrant.
Add ground beef to the skillet and cook until browned.
Stir in tomato paste and mix well with the beef.
Add spices (salt, black pepper, sweet paprika, oregano) and mix thoroughly.
Set the beef mixture aside and prepare the pizza dough.
Knead the dough briefly and roll it out into a rectangle, about the size of a baking sheet.
Sprinkle gouda cheese evenly over the rolled-out dough.
Spread the beef filling evenly over the cheese.
Add chopped onions on top of the beef filling; optional to omit if not a fan of onions.
Add another layer of gouda cheese on top of the filling.
Roll the dough tightly from the bottom to the top.
Place the rolled dough on a cutting board and slice into 2-2.5 cm thick pieces.
Arrange the slices on a baking sheet.
Brush the tops with a mixture of egg yolk and milk for color.
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top of the rolls.
Bake in the oven at 190°C (375°F) for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
