1

Wash Peanuts: Rinse 1 kg of unsalted peanuts thoroughly under cold water to remove any dirt or impurities. Drain well and pat them dry with a clean towel.

2

Roast Peanuts: Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Spread the washed peanuts evenly on a baking sheet. Roast the peanuts in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally to ensure even roasting. Allow them to cool completely before using.

3

Blend Peanuts: Place the roasted peanuts in a food processor or high-powered blender. Blend on high speed. The peanuts will first turn into a crumbly mixture and then start to form a paste. Continue blending until the mixture becomes smooth and creamy. This process can take 5-7 minutes depending on your processor. You may need to stop and scrape down the sides occasionally.

4

Adjust Consistency: Since no oil was added, the peanut butter may be thicker. Continue blending until you achieve a creamy texture. The natural oils in the peanuts should be sufficient to make a smooth butter, though it may take a bit longer to achieve the desired consistency.

5

Taste your homemade peanut butter. If desired, add 1 teaspoon of salt and blend again until well combined.

6

Transfer the peanut butter to a clean jar or airtight container. Store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 month or at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. Stir well before each use as natural separation may occur.
