Prepare the broccoli by cutting the florets and stems into smaller pieces, ensuring they are clean and ready for cooking.
In a pot, bring water to a boil and add a little salt; then add the broccoli to cook for about 10 minutes until tender.
In another pot, heat olive oil to cover the bottom and add chopped onion, cooking until slightly translucent.
Add chopped tomato and a little salt to the onion and let it cook for a while.
Add the grated carrot to the pot and mix it in with the onion and tomato.
Pour in 300 grams of rice and stir to coat it with the oil and flavors in the pot.
Add the water from the cooked broccoli into the pot with the rice to enhance flavor, then bring it to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce heat and cover the pot, allowing the rice to cook until tender.
Meanwhile, heat oil in a frying pan until hot and prepare the alheira sausages by making a shallow cut on the surface to prevent them from bursting while frying.
Fry the alheira sausages in the hot oil, turning occasionally until they are golden and crispy.
Once the alheiras are cooked, remove them from the oil and place them on a piece of bread to absorb excess oil.
After the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and mix in the cooked broccoli, adjusting seasoning with salt and pepper as needed.
Serve the alheira on top of the broccoli rice.
