Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake

1 whole egg
1 egg yolk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
1/2 teaspoon baking powder

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons sprinkles
1/2 cup salted softened butter
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 to 2 teaspoons milk

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Lightly grease a 10 inch cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.

In a bowl, combine 3/4 cup softened butter, 3/4 cup brown sugar, and 2/3 cup regular sugar and cream together.

Add in 1 whole egg, 1 egg yolk, and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract and mix until creamy.

Add 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch, 1/2 teaspoon baking powder, and 3/4 teaspoon salt and mix.

Gradually add in 2 cups all-purpose flour, mixing in between additions until a dough forms.

Sprinkle in 1 cup chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons sprinkles, and stir to combine.

Transfer the dough to the prepared cake pan and press it into the bottom evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes or until the edges turn golden brown.

Remove from oven and transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.

In a mixing bowl, cream together 1/2 cup salted softened butter until light and fluffy.

Gradually add in 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar, mixing until thick.

Add 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract, and mix.

If too thick, add 1 to 2 teaspoons of milk and mix until desired consistency.

Transfer frosting to a piping bag and pipe onto the cooled cookie cake, adding sprinkles on top.
