Clean and quarter the mushrooms, removing any flimsy stems.
Preheat a pan on medium-high heat for a few minutes.
Add 2 tablespoons of butter to the preheated pan and let it melt until it starts to bubble.
Add 4 cloves of minced garlic to the melted butter, ensuring not to let it scald.
Add 2 teaspoons of Mexican oregano to the pan and mix it with the garlic and butter.
Add the quartered mushrooms to the pan, ensuring they are coated with the butter mixture.
Cook the mushrooms for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking and burning.
Continue cooking for another 10 minutes until the mushrooms have shrunk in size and are heated through.
