1

Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.

2

Add 1 small finely chopped onion and 2 cloves of minced garlic, sauté until translucent.

3

Stir in 1/2 cup finely chopped cabbage, 1 grated carrot, 1 stick of finely chopped celery, and 1/4 cup finely chopped green beans. Cook until softened.

4

Add 1/2 lb (225g) of already-cooked minced beef, 1/2 cup cooked barley or rice (if using), salt and pepper to taste, 1 tablespoon soy sauce, and 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and cook for a few minutes until heated through.

5

Prepare the spring roll wrappers. Place a wrapper on a clean surface, spoon a portion of the filling onto the wrapper, and roll tightly, sealing the edges with egg wash.

6

Heat oil for frying in a deep fryer or large pot to 180°C (350°F).

7

Carefully lower the rolls into the hot oil in batches, avoiding overcrowding. Fry until golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes, turning as needed.

8

Remove the rolls and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot.
