1 onion (large)
1 egg
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp ground black pepper
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

Peel potatoes and onion

Grate potatoes and onion with boxed grater (electric grater is preferred)

Put grated potatoes into a sieve

Drain off excess juices

Return grated potatoes in a bowl
