Wash and trim the French green beans.

Peel and chop the russet potatoes into small cubes.

In a large pot, place the smoked turkey leg and pour in water (or chicken broth if preferred).

Turn the heat to high and boil until the meat is clean and falling off the bone.

Remove the turkey leg from the pot and shred or chop the meat.

Add the green beans to the pot.

Add jarred minced garlic to the pot.

Add the shredded turkey back into the pot.

Add the chopped onion to the pot.

Season with seasoning salt and black pepper, and combine well.

Reduce heat to medium and add the chopped potatoes to the pot.

Cook until everything is nice and tender.
