4 cups long-grain American rice
1/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/2 cup oil, or to taste
7-8 cups chicken stock and water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon mixed spices
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
Shirak bread or Lebanese bread
toasted pine nuts
toasted almonds
chopped parsley

Boil the chicken pieces in water with salt, turmeric, bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves, and black pepper until fully cooked.
