1

Open the package of tempeh and cut it into strips about 1/4 to 1/2 inch thick.

2

Prepare a marinade in a small bowl with 3 tablespoons of liquid aminos, 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar, 1 tablespoon of maple syrup, onion powder, and garlic powder.

3

Mix the marinade until well combined.

4

Place the cut tempeh into a reusable bag or shallow dish.

5

Pour the marinade over the tempeh, ensuring all pieces are coated.

6

Seal the bag or cover the dish and let it marinate in the fridge for at least 10 to 20 minutes, preferably overnight.

7

After marinating, remove the tempeh from the fridge and preheat the air fryer to 350°F.

8

Place the marinated tempeh in the air fryer basket and cook for 10 minutes, shaking halfway through.

9

Check the tempeh after 10 minutes; if it’s not crispy enough, add an additional minute or two.

10

Once done, remove the tempeh from the air fryer and let it cool before serving.
