Heat 200 mils of milk in the microwave for about 30 seconds until warm.
Add 1 packet of dry instant yeast and 2 teaspoons of sugar to the warm milk and stir.
Set the yeast mixture aside for about 15 minutes until frothy.
In a mixing bowl, lightly beat 2 eggs and add 2 tablespoons of room-temperature butter, 100 mils of plain yogurt, and 1 teaspoon of salt; mix well.
Add the yeast mixture to the egg mixture.
Add 600 grams of flour and knead using a mixing machine for 5 minutes, or by hand for 5-10 minutes until elastic.
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead by hand for 1 minute.
Oil a bowl, place the dough inside, and flip it to coat with oil; cover with a cloth and let rise in a warm place until doubled.
Punch down the risen dough and roll it out to a rectangle about a quarter of an inch thick.
Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and spread two-thirds over the dough.
Fold the dough in half and brush the remaining butter over the smaller rectangle; fold in half again and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
Repeat the rolling and buttering process two more times, each time letting it sit for 10-15 minutes after folding.
Roll out the dough one last time, brush with melted butter, and reserve a little for the baking pan.
Cut the dough into a long log shape and slice it into 1 to 1.5-inch pieces.
Place the slices cut side down into a greased baking pan, pressing them tightly together.
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and bake for 40-50 minutes.
