Nutritional yeast adds a cheesy flavor with fewer calories.

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Add orecchiette pasta and cook until al dente, about 9-11 minutes.

While pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes; sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add broccoli florets to the skillet and sauté until tender, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain the orecchiette, reserving a cup of pasta water.

Add the drained orecchiette to the skillet with broccoli.

Pour in reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce.

Toss to combine and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

Serve hot, topped with grated parmesan cheese.
