Add plain flour to a bowl.
Add sugar to the bowl for sweetness.
Add a little bit of salt to taste.
Add Somali tea spices to the bowl.
Add baking powder to the mixture.
Mix all the dry ingredients together using a wooden spoon.
Add melted butter (warmed in the microwave) to the mixture.
Add 2 eggs to the bowl.
Add warmed milk to the mixture.
Add a little vanilla to the mixture.
Mix everything together again using a wooden spoon.
Once combined, knead the dough using your hands for about 2 to 3 minutes.
Transfer the dough to a floured kitchen counter and knead again.
Shape the dough into a nice ball.
Let the dough rest for about 15 minutes.
After resting, divide the dough into two sections by cutting it in the middle.
Roll out the dough.
Cut the sides of the rolled dough to ensure even shapes.
Cut the dough into little diamonds or squares, about half a centimeter thick.
Heat oil for frying, ensuring it is not too hot to avoid raw centers.
Fry the dough pieces, ensuring even distribution of color by rolling them around in the oil.
Continue frying the rest of the batch.
Store the Kaka in a container; they will last more than a week.
