Chop flat-leaf parsley quite a lot.

Peel and roughly chop 4-5 cloves of garlic, then finely chop it.

Combine parsley and garlic and chop together by hand.

Add olive oil to a cold frying pan.

Add garlic and parsley to the pan, then add chili flakes and half of a medium red chili.

Turn on the heat under the frying pan until the garlic and chili sizzle, then switch off the heat.

Boil water in a pot and add a handful of salt.

Cook spaghetti until al dente, about 8-10 minutes.

Add cooked spaghetti directly into the frying pan with the garlic and chili mixture, along with a bit of pasta water.

Toss to combine and serve.
