Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
Mix flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
Cream butter and sugar in a separate bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
Stir in the flour mixture until combined.
Press the dough into a tart pan evenly across the bottom and up the sides.
Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes until lightly golden.
In a saucepan, heat milk and vanilla extract over medium heat until steaming.
Whisk together eggs, cornstarch, and sugar in a bowl until smooth.
Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly to temper the eggs.
Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring until thickened, about 5-7 minutes.
Pour the filling into the baked crust and smooth the top.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top and let cool to room temperature before refrigerating.
Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.
