Add 1 cup of irish whiskey to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Once boiling, add 1.5 cups of white sugar and whisk until clear.
Turn off the heat and cool the syrup in a large shallow dish in the freezer.
In a mixing bowl, break 4 eggs and add 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract and 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon.
Add 1 cup of irish cream to the egg mixture and mix well.
Heat a pan and add butter to coat the bottom.
Dip each piece of vienna bread into the egg mixture, coating both sides.
Place the bread in the hot pan and cook for about 1.5 minutes per side until golden brown.
Remove the cooked french toast and set aside on a plate.
