Ricotta is less expensive while still providing creaminess.

Smash garlic and add it to a pan with olive oil.

Slice plum tomatoes and add them to the pan.

Add salt to the pan.

Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water.

Remove the garlic from the pan after cooking.

Add a little bit of pasta water to the pan.

Add spaghetti into the sauce in the pan.

Rip fresh basil into the pan.

Add the cooked tomatoes to the pan.

Add black pepper and a little bit of extra virgin olive oil to the pan.

Rip more fresh basil into the pan and mix everything together.
