Heat a pan on the stove top.
Add 0.5 lb of hamburger to the pan.
Add 1 tsp of fresh minced garlic and 1 tsp of minced dried onion to the meat.
Brown the meat until cooked through, allowing edges to caramelize for flavor.
Add 14 oz of petite diced tomatoes and 14 oz of tomato sauce to the browned meat.
Add about 0.5 can of water to the mixture.
Add 2 tbsp of tomato paste from a tube to the sauce.
Sprinkle in 0.5 tbsp of sugar and mix well.
Add 0.5 tbsp of dried basil, 1 tbsp of dried parsley, and 0.5 tbsp of dried oregano to the sauce.
Incorporate the seasoning and bring the sauce to a medium-low heat.
Let the sauce simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until it thickens up.
Taste the sauce and add salt if needed, adjusting to your preference.
Cook thin spaghetti according to package instructions.
Serve the spaghetti with a generous scoop of the bolognese sauce on top.
Garnish with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
