Colombian style hamburgers, or hamburguesas, are a beloved street food that reflects the country's vibrant culinary culture. Originating in urban areas, these burgers are characterized by their generous toppings and unique flavor combinations, making them a favorite among locals. Today, variations can be found across Colombia and in Colombian communities worldwide, often featuring local ingredients like avocado and arepas alongside traditional toppings.

Prepare the coleslaw by combining 1 cup of finely diced cabbage, 1/2 cup of shredded carrot, and 1/4 cup of diced white onion in a bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of sugar, 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise, 1 tablespoon of sour cream, 1/2 tablespoon of vinegar, the juice of 1/2 lime, a little ground cumin, ground black pepper, and a pinch of salt to the bowl.
Mix the coleslaw ingredients together and let it set while preparing other ingredients.
Cook 4 slices of bacon cut in half in a skillet until crispy.
Shape 1/3 pound of ground beef into a patty, seasoning with salt and black pepper, and set aside.
In the same skillet, after removing the bacon, add a little fresh oil and cook the hamburger patty until done.
Once the burger is almost done, add a couple slices of quesito Colombiano cheese on top to melt.
Assemble the burger by laying down lettuce, tomato slices, and the cooked bacon on the bottom bun.
Place the burger patty with melted cheese on top of the bacon.
Add coleslaw on top of the patty, followed by mustard, garlic mayonnaise, pink sauce, and pineapple sauce.
Crush some potato chips and sprinkle them on top of the assembled burger before placing the top bun on.
Serve the burger immediately.
